En-route you will view the historic French Quarter and Port of New Orleans as the captain entertains you with a detailed narration of New Orleans landmarks, history and river lore.

The cruise stops at Chalmette Battlefield where U.S. Park Rangers greet you and conduct a tour of the grounds. Hear tales of how Andrew Jackson soundly defeated the British with the help of Jean Lafitte and his privateers. Visit the old Beauregard House, a working plantation built 17 years after Jackson's victory.

Relax and enjoy a Creole luncheon with New Orleans favorites such as Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and Bread Pudding as you continue your journey upriver and back to the city. Stroll along the Promenade Deck and enjoy the river breeze as you reflect on a day filled with history and river lore.
