Recently refurnished according to its original inventory, the antebellum mansion now appears much as it did in 1839, when it was brand new.

Or choose the afternoon plantation tour where you'll visit the San Francisco Plantation. It is a galleried house of the Creole open suite style, built in 1856. The house is nestled under centuries old Live Oaks and contains one of the finest antique collections in the country. A 2 million-dollar restoration was completed in 1977. During the restoration the house was painstakingly restored to its original splendor, making it the only authentically restored plantation house in Louisiana.
